The safety and welfare of our students and staff are the highest priority of the
Fort Sam Houston Independent School District. We understand the importance
to prepare and train for unexpected events and emergencies through drills and
training events to help develop awareness and skills.

In conjunction with the Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston 902d Fire and
Emergency Services and 502d Security Forces Squadron, a training event is
planned for Friday, October 28, 2022 at Fort Sam Houston ISD. This day is a
student holiday. The training event will involve FSHISD staff and no students will
be participating.
There will be limited access to all campuses and department offices during the
training event. Personnel from the 902d Fire and Emergency Services and 502d
Security Forces Squadron will be in the area, including in FSHISD buildings and
property. We ask that anyone in the area be aware of the training event and
follow all directions issued by the 502d Security Forces Squadron.
