Fort Sam Houston ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2017 – 2018 school year calendar option # 2 at its regularly scheduled board meeting held on April 21, 2017. The calendar was created based on the needs of our highly mobile military community, is in compliance with state legislation that requires at least 75,600 minutes of instruction, and would support our board approved District of Innovation Plan.

The semester exams for Cole Middle and High School are available for viewing by clicking the headline above. There is one schedule for students in grades 6 - 11. The document for seniors includes both the semester exam schedule and information on senior exemptions.

In order for our food services department to reconcile negative balances, students will no longer be allowed to charge meals beginning May 1st , 2017. Currently our charging policy allows a grace period of up to five days of meals if their accounts are negative and an alternate snack is offered temporarily once the grace period has expired and the account still has not been funded. Please be certain student cafeteria accounts are sufficiently funded in order for them to receive a meal.

For the second year in a row, the Fort Sam Houston Elementary School Student Council has been recognized by the National Association of Elementary School Principals as a National Honor Council! This award goes to student councils who have excelled in the areas of community service, student leadership, citizenship, and school spirit. Congratulations to all our StuCo members and their sponsors, Mr. Jones, Mrs. Blount, and Ms. Rios.

On Saturday, April 29, 2017 the National Honor Society is wrapping up its IDMM drive (Item Drive for Military Members) with a Pack Out Party. We are asking for last minute donations to be dropped off at Cole Gym between 0900 and 1100 on that day. Click the headline above to find a list of items we are collecting.
