Cross Country Dominates at District!

Please congratulate the Cole Cougar Cross Country teams on a dominated performance by all participants in the District 26AAA Meet yesterday at Ingram HS.  The Varsity Boys and Girls teams defended their District Championship Title for the fifth consecutive year with grit and persistence. We had several individual district champions.

Announcing the new 196.2 Cole Cougar Podcast!

Cole Tech Interns have been hard at work creating the first episode of the new "196.2 Podcast", a student-driven podcast highlighting great things happening at Cole and in the district. Episode One takes listeners on a walk through the decades as they examine how the school experience has changed over the past 50 years. The name "196.2" comes from the year Cole was established, 1962, and is a play on radio station call numbers. You can hear episode one by clicking the headline above. The 196.2 Podcast is also available on Spotify and will soon be available on all major podcast platforms.

District Brochure Highlights District and Campuses

The district recently published a new district brochure highlighting the district and our campuses. The FSHISD District Publication was a joint effort among key district personnel to highlight the wonderful accomplishments of the students and staff in our district. The brochure includes detailed information about our campuses and programs and will be used to inform key stakeholders and educate our school community. Ms. Cosper Wins Whataburger What-a-Teacher Contest!

Congratulations to FSH Elementary Teacher Miss Jennifer Cosper fro winning the recent Whataburger What-a-Teacher Facebook contest! During the month-long contest, Miss Cosper's nomination on the contest page post received the most likes and shares by students, colleagues and parents. Because of her outstanding efforts in the classroom, she won Whataburger for a year! Congratulations, Miss Cosper!

FSH Elementary School Parent Orientation

FSHE parents are encouraged to please visit campus next Thursday, September 5, for Parent Orientation. Teachers will be sharing classroom procedures, academic and social-emotional learning opportunities, as well as other important information. We will be offering three blocks of time in case you need to visit more than one classroom:
4:30 - 4:55 PM
5:05 - 5:30 PM
5:35 - 6:00 PM

Email Alert

At approximately 1245 on Friday, August 30, one of our district email accounts sent out a mass email in regards to an invoice that needed attention. If opened, the email asked the recipient for a username and password. This email was spam and was generated by an outside entity. We have taken steps internally to quarantine the email. If you received this email and followed the link, you are strongly encouraged to change your password to any account you may have entered. We apologize for the inconvenience and are taking additional steps to lessen the threat from happening again. Thank you for your understanding. Early Chromebook Pickup Day!

The new school year is right around the corner! Once again, we're giving 7th - 12th grade students the opportunity to get their Chromebooks early. This year’s pickup day is Thursday, August 15th. It is not required that you pick up your Chromebook early, but it will help both you and our teachers if you do! You must be enrolled for the 2019 - 2020 school year by the date of the pickup.

Summer Tennis Camp!

FSHISD will host a Summer Tennis Camp for upcoming 3rd - 8th graders from July 29 - August 1 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at the tennis courts on the corner of William Hardee and Winfield Scott Rd. You will learn the rules of the game, fundamentals of forehand, backhand, serve, volley, singles and doubles strategy, and more. There will be matchplay, fun exercises, and video analysis included.
