On Wednesday, October 16, the long awaited reveal of the "Beadie Bus" took place at Fort Sam Houston Elementary School. For the past year, the bus went from a decommissioned school bus to a beautifully transformed learning center for the children of Fort Sam Houston Elementary. The Beadie Bus gets its name from the matriarch of the Dawson Hawaiian family. Dawson fully funded this major renovation as it is their business motto to impact the lives of those in which they serve. Many gave 100 plus hours of volunteer time to complete. The Cole swim team, AMEDD soldiers, parents, teachers, students and of course, the Dawson team all donated valuable time. The bus is equipped with air and heat for all around use. Inside the bus are various activity stations for students. There is a turf area for group play and gatherings with shade covering. There is also an outside area with picnic tables to provide another learning area for students. The potential for this bus in unlimited. Thank you Dawson for this "one of a kind" bus.
