Early Dismissal on Friday September 7

On Friday, September 7, 2018, students at Fort Sam Houston ISD schools will be released early so that staff can participate in professional development. Fort Sam Houston Elementary School will release at 12:05 p.m. and Robert G. Cole Middle and High School will release at 12:35 p.m. Bus schedules will be adjusted for early dismissal. Sack lunches will be available for purchase.

The 2018 – 2019 District Calendar contains early dismissal days to target the specific needs of each campus, provide on-going training for all new employees, and engage all staff in learning and research as we build capacity to instill innovations that benefit our students. Early dismissal allows teachers to collaborate between grade levels, content areas, and campuses in ways not possible during the school day.

Want to learn more? Check out the FSHISD Calendar and the District of Innovation Plan located on our district website.
